Another Season Begins

Well, another season starts and we at GRFC have many reasons to be optimistic.

Firstly, welcome to our newcomers in Josh Mackenzie and Les Falefatu from New Zealand. We also welcome Harrison Dean and Josh Barnes both who emanate closer to home. Go well boys as you will have a positive impact.

We have a new Head Coach in Sam Howard whose style of play is being welcomed by all the teams and promises some excitement in matches to come.

Aside from that we have a very young side with a great playing group all martialled well by our new Captain Samraj Chahal.

This weekend the 1s renew rivalry with Horsham who after a couple of seasons at a higher level drop down to Regional 2. The last time we played each other were actually pretty close given Horsham ran away with the league.

The 2s should have a league game against Old Dunstonians but the league claimed its first casualty and Dunstonians have pulled out. Luckily we have plucked a fixture against Bromley 2s which should give the lads a workout.
